Hi there!
How is everything going? Have you been drinking water? And enjoy some time for yourself?
I’ve been reading more and more how people like to brag on how many books they read per year. I read an Instagram post saying that the reading world isn’t a competition and that nobody cares about how many books you read this past year. I am one of those people who count the books and I actually care about these things. And I just want to say to that girl that every reader has his reading velocity. You read 12 books, other people read 400! Maybe the time you spent watching Netflix or say that stuff on the internet, they are actually reading! I read 30ish books and I don’t care. I only count this so I can have some control and understand more about my reading capacities. If you come to me and say you have read 300 books man! I will congratule you because I know it couldn’t been easy.
So to the girl who said that stuff about other people “bragging” about their reading you should stop looking to what other people do and read some books!
Anyway! Let’s talk about a subject of my professional life.
I’ve been working from home since last week. Let me say that this is not what I expected. Last week was terrible. I was just start working after my annual leave and it was terrible waking up early and turn the computer on and start working. I hated it. My cat was distracting me, my Guinea pig didn’t stop screaming and even a fly was a good thing to make me stop working. I couldn’t focus. Besides, the vpn they gave me wasn’t working neither. It was the worst!
This week has been better. This work from home thing is complicated to me because I’m a person who gets distracted very easily. I hope this pandemic goes away soon otherwise in the end I will be crazy.
My cat is the most sweetest thing in the world and when she is calm she loves to cuddle and she can sleep in my lap for an entire afternoon. I work at accounts management so I have to do a lot of calls and it’s amazing how she is always quiet in my lap while sometimes I get mad with a customer. Always nice talking with them though.
My boyfriend has been home for these weeks too and it feels really weird being all professional and formal at the phone and knowing he can be listening. I am not a formal person around my friends so it’s been interesting to be working with him listening sometimes. Besides it’s great to have my lunch ready without me doing it alone eheh
I hope this is really the last week working from home because although I don’t like people very much, I’m still a human being and I need human contact to survive. It’s very different when I’m working in the office. Everyone is very professional and it brings the competitive side in me which helps me doing more calls and more call time ( that’s what pays me in commissions at the end of the month).
Sending good thoughts to everyone working from home (and outside too). I leave you with a picture of my cat sleeping on my lap while I was working. Her name is Nyx 💜

See you next time!
