Review Love And Luck By Jenna Evans Welch

Hi guys!

It’s that time of the year again! Thank God this year is ending and let’s hope next year will be better than this one. We’re done with 2020. It’s also the time when readers get their TBR ready for a new year. I already have mine ready, but we are not talking about that today.

I read Love and Gelato last year and I loved it. It was a 5 stars reading(s). Yes, I read it a few times last year. So when I discovered this author had written a sequel for Love and Gelato, I had to read it. And so I did. Love and Luck was a (un) surprising 5 stars reading. It was so good, I may read it again before this year ends.

Love and Luck is about Addie, who is visiting Ireland for her aunt’s wedding. She hopes this wedding and seeing her best friend Lina, help her forget about the terrible thing that happened before the summer. Ian, her brother, doesn’t want that to happen, what makes the two siblings fight all summer.

When Addie finds an unusual guidebook, she is able to escape her brother’s insistence.

But their summer doesn’t go as they planned and they may even get a little lost…

Addie is a strong female lead, which I loved to read. She is a not so good soccer player, although she loves the sport and kind of needs it to get into a good college. Ian is a very good football player, but he has his secrets.

We don’t know what happened to Addie until almost the end of the book. As usual, this is a light and funny reading and keeps you wanting to finish the book in one sitting. Then it is over and you want to read it all over again.

Jenna Evans Welch turned to be my favourite contemporary, young adult author. I read two of her books and I can’t wait to read more of her books.
